Volunteer Opportunities

On November 11 we have 2 Veterans Day activities. A program in Veterans Park and in the VFW a complimentary lunch for veterans and a guest.  Hope you can attend and visit with veterans.

Events:
November 11, 2024, 10:45AM -  In Veterans Park, Veterans Day Program. Joan Mample will contact Auxiliary Color Guard members. Arrive 15 min early. See Deb Courts-Brown for a flag. 

November 11, 2024, 11AM - 2PM - In VFW, a complimentary lunch for all veterans and one guest from a special menu.


Volunteers Needed on November 11 at Veterans Park:
10:30AM-11AM - Hand out American Flags to attendees for program in Veterans Park. Arrive 15 min early  to pick up flags.
10:45AM-11AM - Place 2 planters at base of Veterans Memorial during program. Arrive 15 min early  for instructions.

Volunteers Needed on November 11 Inside VFW:

10AM-10:45AM - Set up registration table and veteran gift/info/membership tables

11AM-2PM - Greeters. Stand inside VFW at entrance to Welcome and direct veterans to registration table. Arrive 15 min early.

11AM-2PM - Register veterans and guest. Ask veteran to sign roster, give lunch ticket(s). Arrive 15 min early.

11AM-2PM - Staff auxiliary table with Veteran gift options, veteran resource iInfo and Post & Aux Membership. Arrive 15 min early.

11AM-2PM -  Floaters - Direct people to tables and assist with busing tables. Arrive 15 min early.  

2PM-3PM - clean up - Sharon Schmidt, Deb Courts Brown, Katy Fick and anyone else available.
